Meredith Salenger

Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She was a performer for relatives and friends as an early child. She was 8 years old when her mother enrolled her into her first acting class. In the film directed by John Huston Annie, she played the role of a minor character in which she was called being a "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger was featured in several TV commercials. The first time she was the main character as a character in The Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann which starred John Cusack and Ray Wise and was the very first US film to be awarded an award of gold at the Moscow Film Festival. The film also garnered her "Best actress in a Drama" as part of the Youth in Film Awards for her role as the young Natty Gann.
